The "member since" date is the date you first accessed the membership site.
The approximate date you joined the club is reflected in your cohort button (i.e. July 2021.)
If your dashboard says "you are in the cohort" instead of "you are in the ___ cohort" (with the date you joined), send us a message to let us know.
